Mrs. Geneviève Adelais Leclére, age 79, of Heaven Falls, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, January 29th, 2017, at her residence. Geneviève was born January 23, 1938, in Paris, France, to Joscelin and Looïs Leclére and had two brothers and one sister. Geneviève was preceded in death by her husband Lucien Henri Leclére; son Henri Leclére; two brothers, Philippe Louis Leclére, and Perceval Timothée Leclére; and one sister, Manon Inès Epstein. Geneviève is survived by one son, Charles-Pierre Leclére; and one daughter, Adeline Harrington; four grandchildren, Elodie Dorothée Leclére; Blossom Chanel Leclére; Amaryllis Dior Leclére; and Timothée Pierre Leclére. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Geneviève graduated from Pleasentview School in 1956 and became a proud teacher and later principal of Pleasentview School in Heaven Falls, NY. She married Lucien Henri Leclére in 1957 and was happily married for 59 years. In her retirement, she was engage as member of a city council (Heaven Falls) and as counselor for her family and friends. Geneviève loved music and dancing and in her youth enjoyed ice skating and roller skating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Mount Sinai Hospital, NY, or NAMI: National Alliance on Mental Illness. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Nevermore Funeral Home. 🖤
